NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - As a golf writer, it's hard not to draw material from blog comments and other emails I receive from readers. So when my friend Chuck wrote to tell me that his new golf swing was "Hot Stuff" it didn't take much imagination to draw a comparison to the lovable little cartoon devil. It's hard to learn a new golf swing so my bayou buddy just wanted to let me know how easy switching to my great OVER THE TOP GOLF swing was.
My description of the OVER THE TOP GOLF swing is more "golf swing optimization" than "golf lesson." A golfing student, whether experienced or not, possesses some innate talent. Most golf instructors purposely ignore it, considering it an impediment to the stamp they want to imprint on them. For most amateurs it is the beginning of what will be a long and dreary existence in the rough and in the woods. What seems comfortable to the student will inevitably be at odds with what the pro will ask them to do. The body's natural movements will be replaced by anomalous physical requirements that sometimes seem to defy logic.
Since most golfers simply can't wire up to teaching pros agendas, they seek golf swing alternatives that can enable them to enjoy the game of golf with some degree of proficiency. The OVER THE TOP GOLF swing, with it's somewhat radical look, builds on the student's own foundation, faulty grip and all. The finished product is a thing of beauty - a marriage of mathematics and instinct. Compared to how you have been swinging the club, you'll agree that this is definitely "Hot Stuff."

I enjoyed your ebook a lot. This is the first golf lesson I've seen that's broken down into easily understood instruction. I'm in a 9 hole league and can't wait to start using the over the top golf swing.

You know, most golf instruction that I've read leave a lot to be desired unless you are talking about a lesson that is very very well explained. Over the Top Golf is. For the most part, they will just expect you to "do what I do." And they simply won't go out of their way to make it less complicated, because that way you'll keep coming back for more lessons.
After several years of trust and commitment to a PGA pro for golf swing instruction my patience has worn thin. I am literally going backwards at this point. I had already checked with a fellow member regarding your Over The Top Golf Swing. I have since read hundreds of similar complaints from unsuspecting golf students who trusted the lessons from golf pros. Beware of golf swing teachers regarding the deceptive practice of continuing to encourage what is essentialy a lost cause. Some of us will never be that proficient, let’s face it. Your golf swing method looks pretty simple, as easy as walking so you say, and at least your not promising to make me into a scratch golfer.

I have read some good reviews about over the top golf so I tried it. I would suggest this to all your readers who have distance and accuracy problems.

Thanks for this awesome blog. I have answered a lot of questions that I have had. What people have to remember, is that the PGA taught golf swing is not for everyone.
What I think is that I've found something great. I'm sure that it's not the first time you've heard "How come nobody came up with this before?" but I'll ask it again. Thank you for the great ( and cheap) golf lesson!
